Jane Davenport is a professional artist, best-selling author, designer and online workshop phenomenon.
Jane and her team came to Nextwave with her popular web presence spread over multiple platforms, causing all sorts of headaches running and trying to grow her business. Adding new art workshops and art supplies was complicated, new students were getting confused how to access their online courses, too much manual effort was required to manage the load, not to mention the challenge of keeping existing customers happy and engaged. On top of that, the brand was not presented cohesively, with varying designs spanning over the last decade.
In short, having grown organically over the last 10 years, the websites were all patched together, and bandaids were no longer going to cut it. Sales, business and brand management were really starting to get adversely affected. A new consolidated approach was needed to present, sell and manage the brand while at the same time streamlining back of house operations.

A complex yet elegant, fully integrated solution that has transformed the Jane Davenport brand
By implementing a custom WordPress website and utilizing the ecommerce plugin WooCommerce and learning system plugin CoursePress, Nextwave was able to integrate all of Jane’s needs into one umbrella website.
The new website offers a myriad of features including a beautiful sales website, a stylish online store and functional online classroom for Jane’s 10,000+ students. The website now presents the Jane Davenport brand in a far more cohesive, stylish way, along with many improved back of house efficiencies in both the shop and online classroom. The bottom line was a BIG increase in online sales and lower operating costs right after launch, and a very happy client.
Importantly feedback from Jane’s existing customer and student base has been wonderful. The ‘Davenpeeps’ simply love their new home!
The website continues to grow with a quirky, unique style that looks great on all devices. Overall one of our more complex projects with a number of challenges. The end result is a great ongoing success for the Jane Davenport brand. One of our favorite projects here at Nextwave!
