One of the extra services we provide to all of our customers is to set up Google Analytics on their website. Google Analytics is a powerful way to track your website’s activity: traffic, visitors, sources of traffic, and your visitors’ engagement and use of your site.

This is something anyone with a small business website can and should do. But it can be complex (you need to setup the Analytics account and then add some HTML to your site). But we do it all for you.

  • First, we add the necessary code to your site and set up a profile in Google Analytics. This lets Google start tracking the activity.
  • Next, we set up automatic weekly emails to you, of an overview report.

Over time, we’ll write more on some of the key things you should be looking at in your Analytics data. For now, you might want to look at a handful of brief presentations that are available on Google Analytics’ Conversion University:

Online ‘group-buying’ and ‘coupon-retailing’ businesses are the hottest and newest, ‘new thing’ in ecommerce down-under. Microsoft and PBL Media, with Cudo, join a veritable crowd of both start-ups and established businesses trying to cash-in on the apparent popularity of group-buying services with consumers. Spreets, scoopon, offerme, ouffer, jumponit, ourdeal, crowdmass and eroo, are just some of the names in the crowd.

Some great promotional opportunities exist for businesses on these sites, especially if you are a service based business in a capital city or a manufacturer of a product that you are prepared to sell at a reasonable discount. Talk to us today about this interesting strategy.

Getting links to your site isn’t a new concept, but links should point to your most relevant pages. Home page links aren’t usually relevant for searches. Look to gain links to specific category or product pages. This will pass link value deep into your site and drive rankings for specific long-tail keywords.
